Radical Grace
Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more
Radical Grace is a wild concept introduced by Christ to the Church. Here is the world’s concept of grace. You fall from grace - normally means you got caught in some or other sin and have now fallen. This is often used to describe a preacher or church person that has fallen victim to their flesh. Normally used to describe a man caught in adultery. The phrase used is :he has fallen from grace.A more accurate way of phrasing it would be to say that you fell into Grace. You see God catches your fall, in His Grace. You fall into sin, but God catches you, and He calls that Grace. You fall into Grace. Grace starts off where sin left you. Sin leaves you in the dumps and God’s grace is sufficient to get you back up onto your feet. The bible tells us of prostitutes, tax collectors, sinners, blasphemers and the like that fell into grace. It was grace that got them back onto their feet, gave them a new beginning. They fell into sin, but grace was there to give them a second chance. Grace is there to give you yet another new beginning.Romans 6:14 says that sin has no dominion over you, you are in Grace. The devil will try and tell you that as a result of your actions this morning, how can you possibly expect God to heal you now? Remember this - none of us deserve God’s blessings. We never do anything to deserve His blessing. His blessing is given as a result of Grace, not works. The works were done by Christ on Calvary so that you may have access to the Grace. Grace is far more than unmerited favor. Grace is unearned, unmerited and most of all undeserved favor towards us.Grace gives you an unfair advantage in this world. Use it well. Get into the flow of the blessings and stay there.Sin does not and cannot stop God’s grace. If His grace could be cut off, then Christ would never have come to the earth to serve us, by submitting to death on Calvary! Where sin abounded, grace abounded that much more…
